I won a copy in a Facebook contest and I'm so happy I did. It sucks you in from the first page. I LOVE Evie. She's so sweet and innocent, even after everything she's been through. And she goes through A LOT. And I can't help but feel for her. She's a Phoenix. (Which is awesome, never read a book like this before)And because of that she has to 'live' her life on the run because a group called the rain are set out to kill anyone not human. But that's no life constantly on the run. And she just so happens to love Clay, a member of the rain. Honestly I'm love/hate with him. Growing up being brain washed to hate and destroy is understandably hard. But Evie doesn't deserve some of his crap. I did love Aiden and the fae. That was a nice surprise I did not see coming! Bit of a cliffhanger ending... I can't wait to read what happens next!
